Join us to find out how certifications and standards work for natural fibres and materials in the textile industry.
About this event
There is increasing demand for certified products and materials. Consumers want higher standards from the products they buy, and manufacturers want to make sure they can verify sustainability practices in their supply chain. Learn how businesses in the fashion and textile industry can use standards and certifications to ensure traceability, cultivation and processing standards, and what is required to communicate these schemes with customers.
Schemes covered will include Organic Content Standard (OCS), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Content Claim Standard (CCS).
“There are so many certifications and standards in the fashion and textiles industry, it can be challenging for brands and suppliers, let alone consumers, to understand how they all work. Identifying the need for more education in this area, Mindful Fashion has partnered with Raw Assembly, bringing together global experts to create this education series as a way to break down some of the complexities and make the information more accessible.” Jacinta FitzGerald, Programme Director Mindful Fashion New Zealand.
