Climate leadership and the future of Tāmaki Makaurau

As part of the Auckland Climate Festival, MRCagney is hosting an online discussion on climate leadership and the future of Tāmaki Makaurau.

Our keynote speaker is Jenny Cooper QC from Lawyers for Climate Action, who will speak on the need for leadership, why climate change must sit at the heart of our decisions, and the risks if it doesn't.

This will be followed by a panel discussion where we will explore a range of perspectives around how the city must change to ensure Tāmaki Makaurau is fit for an equitable low carbon future.

Panellists include:

  • Bridget Burdett, MRCagney (panel moderator)
  • Jenny Cooper, QC
  • Dewy Sacayan, Lawyer and Climate Justice Advocate
  • Te Aroha Grace, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei
  • Alec Tang, Director Sustainability, Kāinga Ora
