UPDATE: BLAKE Inspire is no longer running this October due to Covid. Instead there will be three programmes running in 2022 - April, June and October.
Taking place from 11-15 October, BLAKE Inspire is a week-long residential leadership development programme in partnership with the Ministry for the Environment. Students work together with scientists, environmental experts, a diverse range of leaders and other like-minded students.

This year we look forward to welcoming another 36 passionate, young environmental leaders to join us for our 2021 BLAKE Inspire programme in Auckland this October. BLAKE Inspire is a week-long residential leadership development programme in partnership with the Ministry for the Environment. Throughout the week students will work together with scientists, environmental experts, a diverse range of leaders and other like-minded students to help them develop strong leadership skills while learning about topical environmental issues and how they can take action to tackle them. Participation, adventure and learning are all key requirements for delegates. They will take part in environmental and marine science activities and visit businesses and local organisations to learn about what they are doing to reduce their impact on the environment.
Our delegation will be learning about freshwater testing, marine sampling, visit an award-winning dairy farm, go snorkelling in a marine reserve, participate in a government policy simulation, create an action plan to create change in their communities and so much more! Most importantly, students have tonnes of fun and leave BLAKE Inspire with new friends, skills and clear action plans to start making positive change within their own schools and communities. For more information email the Programme Manager, Courtney Davies, at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone the BLAKE office on 09 307 8875. Applications for the 2022 programme will open in January and close in February 2022.
